Earlier, Moraes denied a request from Bolsonaro’s defense to grant humanitarian house arrest to the former head of the Executive
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) reacted today, the 1st, to the decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), to keep his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro, at the Federal Police headquarters in Brasília (DF), maintaining that the former head of the Executive needs care that cannot be guaranteed in a prison.
In his profile on X, the parliamentarian, who announced his pre-candidacy for Planalto next year, claimed that his father is even at risk of a stroke “due to complications in his health”.
Earlier, Moraes denied a request from Bolsonaro’s defense to grant humanitarian house arrest to the former head of the Executive. The minister determined that, as soon as the former president is discharged from DF Star Hospital, he will be sent to the Police superintendence in Brasília, to return to serve his 27-year prison sentence.
In the order, Moraes pointed out that, “different from what the defense claimed”, Bolsonaro’s health condition improved. Flávio maintained that the decision is “full of sarcasm”. “Until when will Moraes have power of attorney to carry out torture”, he wrote. “Read the report, be abject”, he added, referring to the document which, according to the senator, is “clear” in pointing out that the former president “needs permanent care that cannot be guaranteed in a prison”.
