Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz met secretly with the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Ratcliffe earlier this week. This is reported by the Warsaw correspondent TASR according to the PAP agency, which referred to sources from the ministry.

The negotiations took place in secret mode and without the participation of the media during Ratcliffe’s unannounced visit to Poland. According to the available information, the topics that the representatives addressed during the meeting are also unknown.

Radio RMF 24, citing sources in Washington, reported that the head of the CIA also met with the Minister for Coordination of Secret Services Tomasz Siemoniak. John Ratcliffe has been head of the CIA for about a year. He took office on January 23, 2025, shortly after Donald Trump became president of the United States. During his previous mandate, Ratcliffe served as Director of the US National Intelligence Service (DNI).
