Zé Lopes is enjoying a few days of vacation in Brazil, more specifically in Rio de Janeiro, and has shared several photos and videos of what is the trip of his dreams.
On the evening of Wednesday, February 11, the V+TVI presenter published a video showing himself visiting one of the favelas and in the caption he reflected on what he felt, admitting to having felt “respected and safe”.
“THE EXPERIENCE 💚💛 The best word I can find to describe the favela is impactful. In every way. The context is very different from what I’m used to, the cultural contrast is huge and you can feel the poverty they live in… but there’s something I have to confess to you: in few places have I felt so respected and safe”he began by writing in the caption of the post.
Zé Lopes, who has received several hateful comments regarding his physique, then left an impactful message: “At a time when I receive very unhappy messages every day (as everyone knows), I think these people could (and should!) teach empathy classes. And yes, I’m glad I didn’t listen to the voices that told me not to come here, because visiting Rocinha has been my favorite experience in Rio so far. 🇧🇷”realized.
