Paris/Washington/New York – Hermès boss Axel Dumas says he has been contacted several times by the late US financier Jeffrey Epstein, but has refused to meet with him. Dumas said on the sidelines of the presentation of the company’s figures that he had the impression that he had been targeted by a “financial predator”. Epstein approached the luxury company when Hermès was in the middle of defending itself against a hostile takeover by its competitor LVMH.
