Klagenfurt – The renaming of the street in Klagenfurt named after SOS Children’s Villages founder Hermann Gmeiner failed for the second time in the Klagenfurt local council on Wednesday evening. The proposal to name the street after architect, urban and spatial planner Rudolf Wurzer did not find the necessary majority. The renaming had already failed under chaotic circumstances at the last local council meeting in December 2025.
