In front of the Bayerischer Hof in Munich there is not only the Orlando di Lasso statue, which has been converted into a Michael Jackson monument. There are also dozens of friendly Salzburg and Tyrolean police officers on hand to protect the more than 60 heads of state and government and several other top politicians inside. This year, for the first time, together with colleagues from France and the Netherlands, they are supporting the German security forces in protecting the Munich Security Conference, for which no fewer than 20,000 badges were handed out to participants. Munich has long been the military brother of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
