They most often choose species that have dense foliage or whose arrangement or shoots are natural hiding places in themselves. So they are often attracted to them orchids in pots with many holes, ferns, hyacinths, ficuses, and ivy. It is also worth checking the pot stands themselves or the roots of other specimens, which are also great hiding places for bedbugs.
After noticing their presence in potted flowers, you should use powdered diatomaceous earth. Sprinkling it around the plants, on stands and in pots will help us get rid of the problem. This is because it damages the outer casings of insects. However, remember to leave the powder for at least a few weeks, because bedbugs lay eggs, which may hatch into other insects during this time.
