Janine Flock is reaching for a medal in the skeleton as half-time leader

Cortina d’Ampezzo – Janine Flock can have legitimate hopes of crowning her skeleton career with her first Olympic medal. The 36-year-old Tyrolean is leading at the halfway point of the race at the Winter Games in Cortina. Her lead over the two Germans Susanne Kreher and Jacqueline Pfeifer is small at 0.04 and 0.13 seconds respectively. Fourth-placed German Hannah Neise lost 0.37 seconds on Friday. The decision will be made with two more races on Saturday (from 6 p.m.).
