Carnival Sunday in São Paulo promises to be busy with several blocks spread across the city. In the central region, the block “Sunday she won’t go” will leave the traditional corner of Avenida Ipiranga and São João, with the main attraction being the singer Gretchenwho will perform in the electric trio.

Reinforced security after incidents
Security at Carnival blocks has been reinforced following incidents recorded in previous days. On Saturday, civil police dressed as characters from the Scooby-Doo cartoon arrested three during a blockade in the Republic region.
The trio, made up of two women and a man, were arrested after being observed stealing among partygoers. Cell phones of different brands were found inside a fanny pack they were carrying.
In Ibirapuera Park, where two megablocks took place on Saturday with the presence of the singers and Gloria Groove, the police arrested four people – three men and one woman – for . The arrests took place around 6pm, at the end of the festivities, on Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral.
