Former Minister of Ports, Edinho Araújo, 76, announced, this Saturday (14), his disaffiliation after 35 years.
Pre-candidate for federal deputy this year, Edinho intends to join a party that is willing to support , 85, (MDB) in the election for the Presidency of the Republic and the re-election of the governor of , (Republicans).
As the Panel showed, in January, the MDB plans to carry out a survey after Carnival to test Temer’s name as a candidate for the Palácio do Planalto.
Edinho was minister of the Ports Secretariat in the government (PT) on the recommendation of Temer.
It was Temer himself who encouraged Edinho to try to return to Congress this year.
Edinho, who served his fourth term at the end of 2004, has also served four terms as a federal deputy and three terms as a state deputy.
