Fourth night of Carnival in Sena Madureira has low attendance

Comerciantes e vendedores ambulantes que atuam no circuito também relatam movimento abaixo do esperado

The fourth night of Carnival in , held this Monday (16), was marked by reduced movement and attendance well below what the organizers expected. Images sent to the newsroom show Avenida Avelino Chaves with few revelers around midnight, the time that traditionally attracts the greatest participation. The scenario drew attention, as the program continued with an established structure, musical attractions and security arrangements, but without much popular support throughout the night.

The low attendance reinforces the perception that the party this year has not reached the projected audience flow. So far, the busiest night was recorded last Saturday (14), when the avenue received the largest number of participants. On the other dates, however, participation fell short of expectations, according to reports from those who follow the program.

Merchants and street vendors who work on the circuit also report lower-than-expected movement, which directly impacts sales and income generation during the festive period, traditionally considered one of the most important in the local calendar.

Carnival will not end this Tuesday (17), with the expectation that the last day will attract more revelers and end the program with greater participation.
