A man was arrested for killing ex-partner and shooting her mother in Diadema, in Greater São Paulo, after discussion about where the son would sleep. The crime occurred late on Tuesday night (17), and the suspect was arrested this Thursday (19).
The fatal victim was identified as Mariane Lima Alves, 27 years old, and her mother was Mariza Nascimento Lima Alves, 58. The shooter was Bruno de Oliveira Zeni, 30 years old.
In a statement to the police, Maurício, Mariane’s father, says that She and the boy had lived in a stable relationship for about 10 years and have two children. The father said that his daughter and grandchildren were at his home, after a fight between the couple.
According to the victim’s father, Bruno arrived at the house visibly drunk and said he wanted to take the children to spend the night with him. Due to late hours and drunkenness, the family decided not to assist the boy and asked him to return the next day.
Maurício reports that the suspect would be “irreducible” and then said he had given up talking to him, asking him to come back the next day. At that moment, Bruno he would have gotten excited, stating that he would take the child “his way”.
Soon after, the father reports that Bruno would have forced the gate and managed to open it. When Maurício saw it, the suspect was already with a firearm. After that, Mariane and Marisa appeared in the garage, moment when the boy fired two shots against a motorcycle.
Then Bruno pointed the gun towards his ex-partner and shot her. In addition to Mariane, her mother was also hit by the gunshots.

After the shots, the suspect got into a black Honda Fit and fled the scene. According to Maurício, he knew that Bruno had a gun because he was a CAC (Collector, Shooter and Hunter).
The two victims were rescued and taken to Diadema Municipal Hospital. Mariane had a wound in the abdominal region from the gunshots and could not resist. His mother also received treatment and was reportedly hit in the left part of her face.
Mariane’s wake took place on Thursday morning (19), at the Vila Euclides Cemetery, in São Bernardo do Campo. She was buried at around 10:30 am.
According to the SSP (Public Security Secretariat), the Bruno’s vehicle was found abandoned this Wednesday (18). Furthermore, investigations were carried out at the boy’s property where two pistol magazines and several detonated ammunition cases were seized.
