If we want to build immunity, we don’t have to buy expensive supplements. The key is what appears regularly in the daily menu. Some products have unique properties that support the body during periods of weakness. You just need to prepare them properly.
If you want to take care of your immunity, it is worth preparing an unusual snack using a popular vegetable, such as leek. For centuries, it has been valued not only for its taste, but also for its unique health-promoting properties.
Regular consumption of leeks can effectively support the body’s immunity, which is particularly important during periods of increased incidence of colds. It contains valuable vitamins, especially A and from group B, as well as minerals such as iron, potassium and magnesium, which support the proper functioning of the body.
Leek has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which helps the body fight infections, and the sulfur compounds present in it have a beneficial effect on the respiratory tract. Additionally, leek supports digestion, regulates intestinal function and helps remove toxins from the body.
Including leek in your diet is a simple way to strengthen your body and ensure your well-being all year round. For this purpose, we can prepare a snack in a jar that we can reach for at any time to ensure great immunity. To prepare this natural cold remedy, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 liter of water,
- 8 leeks,
- 1 garlic,
- coarse-grained stone (1 tablespoon for each jar),
- apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon for each jar).

We start the preparation by cutting the harder parts of the leek into slices. Place them in a large bowl. Then peel the garlic and cut each clove in half. Put a few parts of garlic into the jars and add the chopped leek.
The next step is to pour water into the jug and add salt. Its proportions depend on how many jars we have prepared. Mix everything thoroughly and pour into jars with leek and garlic.
We also add one tablespoon of vinegar to each jar. Then we close them tightly and shake them to mix the ingredients well. We leave the leek prepared in this way for 15 days and then we can eat it. You can eat it directly as a snack or add it to sandwiches, salads and lunch dishes.
