Nine samba schools from São Paulo will perform again this Saturday (21) at Anhembi Sambadrome, in the north of São Paulo, for the Parade of Carnival 2026 Champions.
The party starts at 8pm and will feature the participation of the first two placed in Access Group II, the first two placed in Access Group I and the first five placed in the Special Group.
Champion of the São Paulo Carnival this year, Mocidade Alegre steps back into the Sambódromo at 1:10 am, presenting its samba-plot “Malunga Léa, Rhapsody of a Black Goddess”, which highlighted the role of actress Léa Garcia for racial equality in the country and her trajectory as a militant and leader from theater and cinema. She died in 2023, at the age of 90.
In addition, there will also be a presentation by the samba school Acadêmicos do Tucuruvi, champion of Access Group 1 of the São Paulo carnival with the plot “Anti-Herói Brasil”, covering figures such as Macunaíma, a character created by Mário de Andrade. The runner-up, who will also be at the Sambadrome this Saturday night, is Pérola Negra, with the plot “Valei-me Cangaceira Arretada, Maria who shakes the cute, brave and beautiful girl who wins the demand”.
The champion of Access Group-2, Morro da Casa Verde, and the runner-up, X-9 Paulistana, will be the schools that will open this Saturday’s parade.
According to the League of Samba Schools of São Paulo, this will be the order of the parades:
