Five people died this Monday (29), in a shooting attack on a youth assistance institution in the city of Stade, in northern Germany. Two suspects were arrested.
Local police reported that some people were injured, but did not confirm the total number of victims.
According to authorities, the attack took place on Dankersstrasse, south of the center of Stade. They also stated that there was no danger to the public.
Two suspects were arrested, one of whom was identified as the shooter.. The police said they are working to establish the motivation for the attack and clarify how it all happened.
Gun laws in Germany are more restrictive than in other countries, such as the United States, and such attacks are rare but not unheard of.
Stade has approximately 50 thousand inhabitants and is located about 40 kilometers from Hamburg.
