Governor said he is meeting a pre-candidate for President to deal with projects that the left did not do
The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), stated that he should meet on the 27th with the senator and candidate for President of the Republic Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) to align political positions and strategies. According to him, the meeting will aim to adjust speeches and strengthen coordination around common agendas that, according to the governor, seek to rescue Brazil.
“We are entirely at Flávio’s disposal; we are going to do what the left did not do!” During the conversation with journalists, Tarcísio highlighted that the Republicans maintain firm support for Flávio Bolsonaro and defended the importance of alignment between the parties to guarantee political stability and advance agendas considered priorities. In response to questions, the governor highlighted that convergence of positions is essential at this moment in the national scenario.
Silence about Banco Master
When asked about the role of the presidents of the Senate and Chamber, Davi Alcolumbre and Hugo Motta, in relation to a possible advance in Banco Master’s CPI, Tarcísio avoided commenting directly on the topic. Instead, he spoke about the march organized by deputy Nikolas Ferreira, scheduled to take place soon on Avenida Paulista and which deals with the topic.
On the same occasion, the governor also stated that Brazilians need to “recover their morals” and learn from the past, defending values that, according to him, should guide the political and social debate in the country.
The statements were made during the handover of Praça da Cidadania, in Embu das Artes, in Greater São Paulo. The event was attended by the first lady of the State and president of the Social Fund, Cristiane Freitas; federal deputy Ely Santos (Republicans); state deputy Eduardo Nóbrega (Podemos); and the mayor of Embu das Artes, Hugo Prado, also from the Republicans.
