The instability gained new development this Saturday (21), after the goalkeeper Bruno Fernandesex-Flamengo Regatas Clubcomment on the breach of contracts by companies sponsoring the club.
The brands’ departure comes amid the repercussion of the case involving four players arrested under investigation for the alleged gang rape of two women inside the team’s accommodation, in Rio Branco, on February 13th.

In a live broadcast held at a tattoo studio in the capital of Acre, Bruno stated that the break-ups were unrelated to his presence at the club and criticized the way part of the press has been treating the matter.

“I would also like to clarify here, guys, that I’m seeing a lot of news even on Instagram, people commenting that the sponsor left because of Bruno. It wasn’t because of me, okay? The sponsor left due to some personal problems that we have, that everyone is aware of, and it wasn’t because of me, as the press is reporting there, trying once again to denigrate my image”, he declared.

Afterwards, the goalkeeper reinforced that he has no connection with the institutional crisis. “I have nothing to do with this, and everyone has their own problems,” he said.
The negative repercussion intensified after a public tribute paid by the club to the four athletes arrested during the investigation. The gesture sparked outrage and led sponsors to announce the termination of commercial partnerships.
The case went beyond the local scenario and gained a national dimension, expanding the debate on institutional responsibility and the stance of sports clubs in the face of serious accusations involving their players.
