First Lady Janja received a gift by South Korean singer Jin, member of the K-pop group BTS, during an official engagement in South Korea. The item delivered was a bottle of artisanal gin from the Igin branddeveloped by the artist himself and autographed with a dedication.
The delivery was made by South Korean chef and businessman Baek Jong-won, a friend of Jin. In a video released on social media, he stated that the gift was sent at the request of the singer, who was unable to participate in the meeting due to scheduling commitments.
According to the chef, Jin requested that the signed bottle be delivered personally to the first lady. The dedication reads: “To Janja, from Jin, from BTS. I love you.”
During the recording, Baek highlighted that he follows Janja’s social initiatives in Brazil and said he was “deeply impressed” by the actions aimed at people in vulnerable situations. He also highlighted the support of Brazilian fans for the artist. “In Brazil, many people are very supportive of BTS Jin, and I’m very grateful for that. We love you,” he declared.
When thanking the gift, Janja sent a message to the singer and the group’s admirers in the country. “The fans in Brazil are waiting for you! Thank you for this gift, dear. A huge kiss, and we’ll see you in October in Brazil”, he stated.
Jin is part of BTS, which has three presentations scheduled in October, in São Paulo.
