The Senate 1 of the Austrian Bundesliga has punished SK Rapid with a fine and a partial exclusion of fans after the riots at the 348th Vienna football derby. The Hütteldorfers announced this in a press release on Tuesday. Specifically, the conditional sentence was revoked from the judgment on October 1, 2024, meaning that Rapid will have to close the home fan sectors and, for safety reasons, the opposite sectors in the next three home games against top clubs (Austria Vienna, Sturm Graz, Salzburg and LASK). The fine amounts to 100,000 euros. Rapid had already announced in advance that no away fans would be allowed at derbies in the Generali Arena for the next three years.
