Fire started around 6am this Tuesday (24) and was controlled without leaving any victims; Access to the building has already been released after inspection
A fire hit the roof of the headquarters building of the Public Ministry of the State of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ), in the center of the capital, this Tuesday morning (24). According to information gathered by Jovem Pan, the incident, which occurred around 6 am, took place in the generator area.
According to the Security and Intelligence Coordination (CSI/MPRJ), the fire was small proportions and stayed restricted to terrace area. The flames were quickly controlled by the fire brigade from the institution itself, which worked with the support of the Fire Department. There were no records of victims.
After controlling the situation, firefighters carried out an inspection of the site. The entrance to the building, located at Avenida Marechal Câmara, 370, was opened for employee access at 7am.
The agency reported that the causes of the fire have not yet been identified and are being investigated by the competent authorities.
