A woman walked around six kilometers along the edge of the A2, between the areas of Fogueteiro and Feijó, while walking two dogs, in a situation that caused alarm among drivers.
The case occurred during the morning, when the woman entered the highway somewhere between Fogueteiro and Cruz de Pau, in the municipality of Seixal. She was barefoot, walking calmly along the shoulder, putting her own safety and that of drivers traveling along the road at risk. Several drivers alerted 911 upon noticing the situation.
The woman ended up being intercepted by firefighters and tow truck operators in an area under construction, near the Feijó bridge, in the municipality of Almada. When the GNR arrived at the scene, the woman was already under the assistance of firefighters, and was later transported to Garcia de Orta Hospital, where she was admitted for medical evaluation.
