Sócrates’ fourth lawyer, Sara Leitão Moreira, said in court that she is not an “extra” and that “doing justice is not making up numbers”.
After the court denied her the requested five and a half months to prepare, the judge asked for her resignation with immediate effect, maintaining that “I’m not an extra.” The court once again ordered the appointment of a public lawyer.
