The president of the Senate’s Economic Affairs Committee (CAE), Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), rescheduled Daniel Vorcaro’s testimony for March 10.
The hearing would take place this Tuesday (3), but was postponed after a conversation between the senator and the banker’s defense.
On Tuesday (25), the senator met with the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and rapporteur of the case, André Mendonça, to define the terms of Vorcaro’s testimony to the collegiate. Calheiros confirmed to journalists that the testimony will take place in Brasília.
“Minister André Mendonça has already decided on this, he allowed the presence of the accused. So, he needs to discuss some aspects of custody, transportation. He will come on a commercial flight and we will make the statement on Tuesday, which is a very important statement”, he stated.
The change of date occurs so that Vorcaro can plan his trip to Brasília and receive judicial authorization for the move — the banker is under house arrest and cannot leave the city of São Paulo without prior authorization.
Last week, the banker chose not to appear before the INSS Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI).

Although he was summoned, STF minister André Mendonça decided that he had the right not to comply with the commission’s determination.
