Deputy listened to the productive sector of Mato Grosso and warned that change will make products more expensive and reduce workers’ purchasing power
Federal deputy Rodrigo da Zaeli (PL-MT) went to the Chamber of Deputies’ rostrum this Tuesday (24) to defend the industrial sector and fire against the proposal to abolish the 6×1 scale. Supported by a meeting with presidents and former presidents of unions and entities in the productive sector of Rondonópolis, the parliamentarian accused the defenders of the measure of deceiving the worker. “There is a serious problem with those who sell a lie and those who want to face reality,” he said.
A The main complaint raised at the meeting, held at the Casa da Indústria de Rondonópolis, was the absence of any technical study to support the proposal. “We arrived to discuss this project and it still doesn’t even have a study from the government or from those who proposed it to society. An incredible lack of responsibility”, said Zaeli from the stand.
The deputy also questioned the impact on workers paid by commission or productivity. “How is that worker who earns on commission? If he can’t work three days a week, how will he earn?”, he asked. In his opinion, the increase in labor costs is transferred directly to the final price of products and services. “Even if there is no salary reduction, there will clearly be an increase in the final price. And Brazilians’ purchasing power will suffer once again”, he warned.
When closing, Zaeli framed the proposal as an electoral maneuver. “Any project that comes from this form of narrative to raise the popularity of a president who only demands more taxes will not work. It will not be this time that we see a populist project succeed in this country”, he concluded.
