The Algarve 2030 Regional Program has opened the notice ALGARVE-2025-11 – Territorial-Based Incentive System – Innovation and modernization to increase production and create new companies and businesses, with an indicative allocation of 10 million euros, financed by the FEDER, aimed at supporting business investment projects in the region.
According to CCDR Algarve, the notice “aims to support operations for the creation, expansion or modernization of micro and small companies, contributing to the strengthening of productive capacity, business competitiveness and the diversification of the regional economic base”.
Type of support and strategic frameworkgic
According to the notice, “investment projects for the creation of micro and small companies are eligible, considering the creation of a company in the start-up phase, up to 5 years after the start of activity” and also “Projects for the expansion or modernization of micro and small companies, including investments aimed at product and/or process innovation”.
The supported operations must contribute to the diversification of the regional production base, through the development of activities in the industry sector or the dynamization of the strategic domains of EREI Algarve, namely: Economy of the Sea; Endogenous terrestrial resources; Cultural and creative industries; Health, well-being and longevity; Environmental sustainability; and Digitalization and ICT.
Financing conditions and applications
Support is granted in the form of a non-refundable grant, with a maximum co-financing rate of up to 60%, under Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2831, of December 13, 2023 (De minimis aid). The total value of de minimis aid granted to a single company cannot exceed €300,000 over a three-year period.
The minimum eligible investment per application is 25 thousand euros, and projects must be located in the NUTS II Algarve region and meet the eligibility requirements defined in the notice.
Micro and small companies can register, with the registration period open until 6pm on March 12th. Applications must be made through the Funds Desk.
The Algarve 2030 Regional Program encourages companies in the region to present projects that promote innovation, the modernization of production processes and the strengthening of business competitiveness, contributing to more resilient and sustainable economic development in the Algarve.
