Lula says PT governments owe nothing to Faria Lima bankers

The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) stated, this Friday (27), that the PT governments owe nothing to Faria Lima bankers. And he added: “I don’t owe this to any businessman or landowner. I owe this to you. It’s important that you know that I know where I came from and I know where I’m going”.

The statement was made during the closing of the 6th National Conference of Cities, in Brasília. Lula said that only the population “you have the right to charge” whatever you want.

Without mentioning names, the president criticized the governments that, according to him, “they ended several ministries”. “You have to take into account what happened after Dilma’s impeachment [Rousseff]”these.

During the event, the president also criticized the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), according to him, for making available R$3.5 billion to the state through the New PAC (Growth Acceleration Program) and no project has been presented by the Minas Gerais government so far.

Zema is a pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.

“This is the result of the historical neglect shown to the poor people of this country”said Lula after questioning the Minister of Cities about what the governor should have done.
