Pedro Sánchez denies having a health problem. “And even if you had…”

Pedro Sanchez

Reaction to news from media outlets linked to the right. There was talk of a cardiovascular problem.

The matter even reached Congress. According to some media linked to the Spanish political right, Pedro Sánchez has a cardiovascular problem.

This Thursday, Cayetana Álvares, took up this topic because – said the PP deputy in Congress herself – the health of the president of the Spanish Government “is not a private matter”.

“This issue has been talked about for over a year. I ask that the medical history be declassified. Is there indeed a health problem?”, he asked the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños.

The minister was not happy and said that the deputy was having “low morals”.

Government sources had already denied this indication. And this Thursday, Pedro Sánchez himself reacted to these “lies” spread by the “extreme right and radical right”, who have been “predicting the end of this government since day one”.

“The defamation machine always works the same way: they launch the rumor from a pseudo-scientific media vehicle, their subordinates amplify it and their experts confuse public opinion”, he wrote in .

And the leader of the Government of Spain assured: “I do not suffer from any cardiovascular disease. But even if he suffered, it wouldn’t be a problem. Millions of people suffer and have normal lives thanks to the public services that you are dismantling.”

“If their only form of opposition is to lie, then we are doing a great job. The government will continue to exist for a long time”, added Pedro Sánchez.
