Tavira presents beaches, heritage and gastronomy at BTL

The Municipality of Tavira is present at the BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market, which runs until March 1st, at Parque das Nações, in Lisbon. Considered the largest tourism fair in Portugal and one of the most relevant events in the sector in the Iberian space, BTL brings together destinations, tour operators, travel agents and specialized press, both national and international.

According to the city hall, participation in this fair is part of the municipal tourism promotion strategy, with the aim of reinforcing the municipality’s notoriety in the national and international markets and consolidating its identity as an authentic, sustainable and culturally rich destination in the Algarve context.

At BTL, Tavira presents its differentiating offer, with a special focus on golden sand beaches, framed by preserved nature and a coastline of rare beauty. Added to this natural heritage is an ancient historical legacy, excellent gastronomy and a set of experiences that allow you to discover the genuineness of a territory where tradition and contemporary times combine.

The program includes a culinary demonstration led by chef Jorge Rodrigues, who will showcase the best of local cuisine, accompanied by wines from Casa Santos Lima, produced in Tavira. A presentation dedicated to the city’s main tourist attractions is also planned, with emphasis on the sun and sea on offer.

For the Municipality, this presence constitutes “an opportunity to establish and deepen contacts with tour operators, travel agencies and specialized press, present tourist products and position Tavira among priority markets, reinforcing its claim as a destination of choice for visitors looking for quality, culture and authenticity”.

With this participation, the company emphasizes that it reaffirms “its commitment to qualified tourism promotion, based on solid partnerships and the valorization of its distinctive assets in the main national and international markets”.
