The Feira do Folar returns to São Marcos da Serra between the 3rd and 5th of April, promising three days of entertainment, tradition and gastronomy in the Algarve mountains. The initiative is promoted by Silves City Hall, with the support of the Parish Council of São Marcos da Serra and Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo Terras do Arade.
According to the municipality, the event constitutes a reference in the panorama of events held in the Algarve mountains, promoting the traditions of local communities, culture and popular cuisine, and attracting a significant number of visitors.
Registration open until March 11th
Exhibitors interested in participating in the XXVIII Feira do Folar de São Marcos da Serra can register until March 11th.
Applications are accepted in the areas of folar production, bakery, regional sweets, liqueurs and brandies, honey, traditional sausages, catering, handicrafts, the municipality’s tinwork and citrus fruits (natural orange juice), with preference given to folar producers in the municipality.
The registration form, available on the event’s official page, must be sent by email to . Alternatively, it can be delivered in person at the Culture department, between 9am and 5pm, or at São Marcos da Serra City Hall, from 9am to 4pm. To formalize registration, it is mandatory to submit a duly completed form and a copy of the activity license.
