Mini pony wins Guinness as world’s shortest living horse

A mini pony from Germany gained international recognition after being recognized as the shortest living horse on the planet by the Guinness World Records. Called Pumuckelthe animal measures just 52.6 centimeters tall at the withers.

The title was confirmed after official measurements showed that Pumuckel surpassed the previous record by more than four centimeters. The brand attracted attention due to its unusual size: it is smaller than many large dogs.

Adopted in 2020 by trainer Carola Weidemann, the mini-pony doesn’t just stand out because of its size. He also acts as a therapy horse, participating in visits to hospitals, schools and centers for people with disabilities.

According to reports, Pumuckel is described as energetic and charismatic. The combination of his small size and active personality contributed to him becoming a sensation on social media and a reference in therapeutic actions.
