Last Sunday, thousands took part in the “Support the Revolution in Iran” demonstration – including many people from the Iranian diaspora.
The military escalation in the Middle East is also stirring up the Iranian diaspora in Austria. In Vienna last weekend, thousands took part in demonstrations calling for a revolution in Iran. “I just hope that the current government in Iran, which caused so much suffering, is over,” says Shahrokh Shariat. The doctor heads the university clinic for urology at the AKH and was present at a demo.
