The president of , (-AP), stated, this Wednesday (4), that the president (PT) should look for him if he wants to speak to him.
A meeting between them was scheduled for this week to unlock the appointment to the (Federal Supreme Court), but it did not occur.
“We expect to be called by all the people we respect and consider. And, naturally, in the same way that when I wanted, on other occasions, to speak personally with the President of the Republic, I sought him out. It is legitimate, even, that, if he wishes to speak to me, he seeks me out so that we can continue in a relationship of pacification and harmony between the Powers. That is what I understand about democracy”, Alcolumbre told journalists.
The president of the Senate had been asked about an agenda with Lula. Regarding Messias, Alcolumbre responded that the government has not yet sent the message with the nomination, the first step for the hearing at the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission) to be scheduled.
Messias was announced as Lula’s choice for a vacancy on the STF on November 20, but so far he has not gone through a senatorial hearing.
On Tuesday (3), the government leader in Congress, Randolfe Rodrigues (PT-AP), stated that the meeting between Lula and Alcolumbre would take place soon.
