The reaction of government officials to the decision of the president of , (União-AP), which maintained the breach of confidentiality, was one of surprise and perplexity.
Deputies and senators say that the atmosphere is one of frustration after Alcolumbre denied the request from government officials to cancel the CPMI session which approved, among other requests, the breach of confidentiality of the son of .
Even so, the assessment, for now, is that the government should not appeal Alcolumbre’s decision. The solution would be to judicialize it, calling the Federal Supreme Court (). Behind the scenes, government officials say this could worsen relations with Alcolumbre.

But the vote was symbolic and the president of CPMI, senator Carlos Viana (Podemos-MG), states that the government did not have a majority to reject the requests.
In the decision announced this Tuesday (3), . “There is no situation here that justifies the exceptional performance of this presidency to annul the CPI’s deliberation,” he stated.
