Iran has no intention of negotiating with the United States and can continue the war in the Middle East as long as necessary, declared a high-ranking associate of the late spiritual leader of the country, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for state television. Mohammad Mochber said Tehran “doesn’t trust the Americans” and there is no basis on which to build negotiations. “We can keep the war going as long as we want,” he added.
At the same time, the Iranian judiciary said on Wednesday that persons who help the country’s enemies with words or deeds will be “dealt with decisively and strictly in accordance with laws and regulations” during the war in the Middle East.
Israel’s military said on Wednesday that Iran still possessed a significant number of launchers. “We have already destroyed dozens of rocket launchers that threatened the Israeli front,” an army official said. “We will continue to attack launchers and reduce launches, but the regime still has significant capabilities and I would like to remind you that our defenses are not impenetrable,” he stated. In a separate statement, the army said it struck a facility “for the storage, production and launch of ballistic missiles” in the city of Isfahan on Wednesday night.
