The crew was given the necessary medical attention and its members are fine, Oman’s ONA news agency reported. TASR informs about it with reference to the AFP agency.

The UK Maritime and Commercial Operations Agency (UKMTO) previously said the ship was two nautical miles (about 3.7 kilometers) north of the coast of Oman and sailing eastbound through the Strait of Hormuz when it was hit by an unknown projectile just above the waterline at 12.09pm CET, causing a fire in the engine room.
Route and destination of the ship
According to Marine Traffic, a website that provides real-time information on the movement of ships and their current position in ports, the Safeen Prestige was en route from the port of Ghantut in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
It was the fourth reported attack on a ship off the coast of the UAE and Oman in 24 hours.
Iran Guards Warning
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Wednesday they had “full control” of the vital Strait of Hormuz, which transports about 20 percent of the world’s oil output. At the same time, they warned that vessels that try to pass through it may be hit by missiles or drones. US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the US Navy is ready to escort oil tankers through the strait.
