Businessman was arrested in Operation Compliance Zero; has relationships with several politicians, including Rui Costa and Jaques Wagner
The president of the CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of the INSS (National Social Security Institute), Carlos Viana (Podemos-MG), said this Tuesday (March 3, 2026) that Daniel Vorcaro’s former partner and owner of Banco Pleno, Augusto Lima, should testify before the collegiate on March 11.
Lima was arrested in Operation Compliance Zero. It has, including the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, and the senator (PT-BA). He is also close to people on the opposite side of the political spectrum, such as the former mayor of Salvador vice-president of União Brasil.
Lima left the partnership with Vorcaro in May 2024. He purchased Banco Voiter (currently Banco Pleno) from Master in June 2025. The Central Bank ordered the liquidation of the financial institution on February 18.
