The singer’s team said the arrest is ‘regrettable’ and will appeal
The singer Britney Spears was arrested on Wednesday night (4), reported the California Highway Patrol, and released a few hours later, during the early hours of the morning. She is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on May 4.
According to the TMZ website, she was driving drunk and under the influence of substances. Other international vehicles confirm the arrest after Britney drove, but do not inform the reason.
The singer would have been taken to a hospital for tests about the level of alcohol in your blood. The alcohol content was below the legal limit, but even so, police officers are able to charge a person for driving under the influence of substances if they notice anything unusual in their driving.
The artist’s team classified the arrest as “regrettable and inexcusable”. They also reported that Britney “will take appropriate action and comply with the law, we hope this is the first step towards a long-needed change in her life,” they stated.
