Conversations with Martha Graeff indicate that the owner of Banco Master held a meeting in Planalto with Lula and ministers
Messages exchanged by , owner of Banco Master, with his girlfriend Martha Graeff indicate that the banker celebrated the outcome of a meeting with the president (PT) at Palácio do Planalto, on December 4, 2024, held outside of immediate registration on the public agenda.
In the dialogue, Martha asks if the meeting was over and receives the answer: “It’s over now love”according to messages from the bank’s founder’s cell phone obtained by Poder360.
Shortly afterwards, she asks for details. Vorcaro writes: “It was amazing” and then, “Very strong”. He adds: “He called the president of the central bank who will come in” e “3 ministers”. Martha reacts with “Wowwwwwww” and says: “I’m dying to know everything”.
In the early hours before the meeting, another sequence shows Vorcaro commenting that the president of the BC (Central Bank) had already mentioned a property owned by the couple in Miami. Martha asks about the time of the meeting and says she is nervous. Vorcaro responds “In the morning” and then “11”.
In the same conversation, he writes: “Believe me that the president of Bacen has already spoken about our house” and completes: “Banco central”. Martha reage: “What do you mean love?” and then asks: “Da casa de Miami?” e “How does he know”. Vorcaro responds “So it is” and states: “He spoke inside the central bank”. To her questions (“Told who?” e “Does this hurt you?”), it minimizes: “Nothing else” e “Just telling you”before concluding: “Everyone knows everything today.”
The one on December 4th was articulated after a formal hearing recorded in the agenda of the head of the President’s Personal Office, Marco Aurélio Santana Ribeiro, known as Marcola.
This hearing was reported to have taken place on December 4th, but only entered the system officially on December 27th, with Guido Mantega, former Minister of Finance, listed as a participant. He attended accompanied by Vorcaro and, at the end of the conversation, they asked to speak to Lula. The president accepted and received the group in the presidential office.
In the off-the-agenda meeting, Lula was accompanied by the Minister of the Civil House, and called Gabriel Galípolo, then nominated for BC presidency, to participate. Also participating (Minas e Energia) and Augusto Lima, then CEO of Banco Master. During the conversation, Vorcaro discussed the concentration of the banking system and the role of larger banks in the market. Lula responded that the issue was up to the BC and said that issues of this type should be dealt with technically by the monetary authority.
Records from the GSI (Institutional Security Office of the Presidency of the Republic) indicate that Vorcaro was at Planalto in 2023 and 2024: one on December 4, 2023 (3:42 pm) and two in 2024, on March 1 (2:33 pm) and April 3 (5:29 pm), in addition to the visit linked to the meeting with Lula on December 4, 2024. Planalto does not detail who he met with on these occasions.
Months later, under Galípolo’s presidency, the BC rejected the sale of Master to BRB (Banco de Brasília) and declared the bank’s liquidation, pointing out fraud worth R$12 billion.
The president began to publicly comment on the case of Banco Master only in January 2026, after the institution was liquidated by the Central Bank. At an event in Maceió (AL), on Friday (23. Jan), the PT member who “there is no shame in the face” of those who defend banker Daniel Vorcaro. He also said that the government does not interfere in BC decisions.
