  • The Criminal Financial Administration Office conducted a Simulator event.
  • The intervention concerned suspicions of violation of tax regulations in the importation of luxury vehicles.
  • The financial administration took action against six commercial companies involved in suspicious transactions.
  • The companies are suspected of the unauthorized application of excessive VAT deductions from cars.

On Wednesday (March 4th), the members of the Criminal Financial Administration Office (KÚFS) carried out in the Banskobystrica region an action called Simulator focused on suspected violations of tax regulations when importing luxury vehicles to Slovakia. TASR was informed about this by FS spokesman Daniel Kováč.

“Officers of the FS carried out actions against six trading companies, which are suspected of the unauthorized application of excessive VAT deductions when trading in luxury cars,” zoomed in on Kováč.

During the action, the accounting documentation of the companies in question was secured, KÚFS also issued decisions on the imposition of a preliminary measure on the property. “The reason is the fear that the unpaid or not yet levied tax might not be paid in the future or could be unenforceable,” explained Kováč, stating that the seized accounting documentation will be forwarded to the competent authorities for further proceedings.
