Minister is accused of trying to grab 18-year-old girl, daughter of a couple of friends
The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) postponed to April 14th the deadline for concluding the internal inquiry investigating allegations of sexual harassment against minister Marco Aurélio Buzzi. The investigation seeks to clarify facts that allegedly occurred in January of this year, in Balneário Camboriú (SC).

The administrative investigation was opened on February 4th and the final report should be presented next Tuesday (10th). However, the commission responsible for the case requested an extension of the deadline to continue the work. The minister was precautionarily removed from the court.
Indictment
According to the complaint, formalized through a police report, Buzzi allegedly tried to grab an 18-year-old girl, daughter of a couple of friends, while swimming in the sea while they were on vacation on the coast of Santa Catarina.
In addition to the internal investigation at the STJ, the case is being processed at the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which investigates possible disciplinary infractions and administrative consequences, and at the Federal Supreme Court (STF), which analyzes the criminal aspect of the case, under the report of Minister Nunes Marques. As part of a higher court, Buzzi has jurisdiction by prerogative of his role before the Supreme Court.
Defense
In a statement released after the investigations began, minister Marco Aurélio Buzzi denied the accusations. According to the judge, the information disclosed “does not correspond to the facts”. Buzzi also stated that he was surprised by the complaint and repudiated “any and all conclusions that he committed an improper act”.
