The war in the Middle East continues to escalate. Iran claimed early this Sunday to have launched attacks against US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, while Israel intensified its bombing of Iran and Lebanon.
According to the agency Tasnimlinked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Tehran launched a new wave of attacks against Israel and US assets in the region. Among the targets would have been the US base of Arifjan, in Kuwait, which according to the media was hit by precision missiles.
Kuwaiti authorities reported missile fire and a wave of droneswhich caused major fires at the Kuwait International Airport and at the headquarters of the Public Social Security Institution. The Ministry of the Interior also confirmed the death of two Kuwaiti soldiers while carrying out security duties.

Gulf countries denounce escalation
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States described the attacks as a ““dangerous climb” of the conflict. The secretary general of the organization, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, condemned what he described as “disastrous Iranian attacks against infrastructure” in Kuwait and Bahrain, ensuring that they reflect a strategy by Tehran to “destabilize security and stability in the region.”
The accusations come despite the fact that Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian stated that his country has decided to end attacks against neighboring countries, unless they are used as a platform to attack Iran.
Israel intensifies its bombings in Iran
Meanwhile, the Israeli Army announced a new wave of attacks against Iranian military targets. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Bombings hit fuel depots in Tehran used by the Iranian armed forces to operate military infrastructure.
They also claimed to have attacked F-14 fighter jets at the Isfahan airport, as well as detection and air defense systems that, according to Israel, represented a threat to its aviation.
Iran claims to have captured US soldiers

New attacks in Lebanon
Israel also continued its military campaign in Lebanon. According to the Lebanese National News Agency, at least 25 people were killed overnight from Saturday to Sunday in attacks in the south of the country and in the capital, Beirut.
The Israeli Army claimed to have carried out a “precise attack” in Beirut against commanders of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in charge of operations in Lebanon. The Shiite group Hezbollah assured for its part that it maintains direct clashes with Israeli troops near the border town of Aitaroun.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for an immediate cessation of military operations in the Middle East to “prevent an escalation and expansion of the war.”
