Ground turkey cutlets. Frikadelki for Sunday dinner

Turkey fries they are much lighter and richer in protein than classic versions with pork or beef. A pinch of ground cloves added to the meat mixture gives the whole thing a depth of flavor, which distinguishes them from ordinary meatballs. Additionally, instead of the classic bread soaked in milk, panko is added. Although their preparation may take some time and effort, the effect compensates for every effort. The browned, buttery crust contrasts perfectly with the delicate and melt-in-your-mouth interior.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 750 g of minced turkey meat,
  • 65 ml of milk,
  • 50 g panko,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 yolk,
  • ½ teaspoon of salt,
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper,
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves.

Additionally:

Serve the dish warm, immediately after preparation, preferably with a side dish mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes. It will fit well here cucumber salad, carrot and apple salad and beetroot.

Grate or chop the peeled onion very finely.

Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly first with a spoon and then with your hands until completely combined. A smooth mass should form. Cover the bowl with cling film and put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat, just covering the bottom of the pan.

Pour the mixture into the pan with large spoons onto the heated fat. Flatten them slightly to form patties. Fry the turkey fries for 8-10 minutes on each side until nicely browned.

Remove the frikadelles from the pan with a spatula and place them on paper towels to absorb excess fat.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered. Use within 3 days.
