The war conflict, which is gaining intensity in the Middle East, has affected unsuspecting vacationers in many countries on the Arabian Peninsula or in Asia as a whole. Among them was the sister of the Slovak MEP Veronika Cifrová Ostrihoňová. Patrícia Valentová was in Abu Dhabi with her husband and children according to the images on the social network. No one could have guessed what would happen and that it would also affect the Emirates.
A well-known Slovak woman, who managed to arrive home happily around March 5, wrote about her unpleasant experience on Instagram. “Sometimes a few days of uncertainty are enough for a person to realize completely anew what home means to him. After more mentally demanding days in Abu Dhabi, we are finally home. And I take away one strong realization from all of this – how much good there is still in the world, even if it doesn’t seem like it lately.” she stated at the beginning.
Her social networks are decorated with the occasional family photo, otherwise they are dedicated to cooking. Therefore, it was clear how serious their situation was when she decided to share it and confide. “From countless encouraging messages, through help with the administration, when I couldn’t find information through official channels or call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, up to several offers for overnight stays or any other help in Munich after I wrote here that we were flying there,” a well-known Slovak woman appreciates the help.
She also added photos from the vacation, which was marked by conflict. And it can also be seen when taking a shot of a defused missile. She received a lot of kindness from people she didn’t even know. He emphasizes that in such moments one realizes that humanity still exists. “The one that appears just when a person needs it the most,” she added.
It sends a strong message to everyone now. “We often complain in Slovakia. And really – many things do not work as we would like. Especially when it comes to politics. But nevertheless, it is our home. And when one sees how many good people live here, one realizes that one is very lucky to be able to come back here. Thank you to everyone who thought of us, wrote a message or offered to help. I really appreciate it. And to all those who are still trying to get home and haven’t been able to yet – we’re keeping our fingers crossed and trusting that you too will be back safely soon. We are here for you,” Ostrihoňová’s sister Patrícia Valentová added honestly.
