A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of killing his wife with punches in the early hours of this Sunday (8), in Praia Grande, on the coast of . The case occurred precisely in and is being investigated as feminicide.
The suspect was identified as Pedro Ubiratan de Oliveira, a furniture assembler. According to information from , he even published videos on social media before and after the crime.
The complaint was registered around 6 am. Police officers went to the scene after receiving information that the suspect’s sister was in shock and feared for her sister-in-law’s safety.
According to the police, the complainant reported having watched videos recorded by the suspect himself threatening the victim. In another recording, he would have indicated that he had completed the crime.

When the agents arrived at the property, they found the body of Thais Rodrigues Rocha de Oliveira, 34 years old, dead. The victim showed signs of being beaten, with injuries mainly concentrated on the face.
After the crime, the suspect left the scene and was considered a fugitive. According to reports from his sister, Pedro could have fled to his mother’s house.
The police began searching the region and located the man in the Caieiras neighborhood, also in Praia Grande. He was arrested and taken to the police station.
The case was registered as a feminicide and remains under investigation by the authorities.
