Kelly Key43, and her husband Mico Freitas45, published a video on social media asking the authorities for help. According to the couple, they both have a neighbor in Rio de Janeiro who causes unpleasant and dangerous situations for the couple’s family.
The artist began by explaining that the neighbor is a well-known doctor in the city. “After some family losses, very difficult personal problems, he developed very serious psychological condition. Today, he mixes psychiatric medications with alcohol and this makes him completely unpredictable.“.
Some of the situations mentioned by the couple were that the man had already entered a neighbor’s house during the early hours of the morning and that he had already tried to attack the singer’s father with an iron bar. “He already told me that the my daughter invited him to go to the cinema, and the invitation was made by the air conditioning“, commented Mico Freitas. “There’s no way to talk to a person like that”, he added.
The two explained that the neighbor has already been taken to the police station and has already been hospitalized, but that he “signs out on his own and returns home even worse”, added Kelly Key.
Furthermore, “he has presented behaviors especially with the women in my house, especially with mine. Yesterday he left wine at the door, he rang the intercom, he left pizza. He stuck a packet of biscuits in the wall that divides our house. Everything until 6 am, no peace.”
Given these episodes, Mico said that the purpose of the video is to ask for help. “The appeal would be to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to initiate an investigation to enter into a curatorship, appoint a curator to take care of it from now on, to be responsible for this gentleman, because he cannot be responsible for himself”, he stated. “We cannot wait for misfortune”.
The artist and businesswoman reiterated that the objective of the publication is not to serve as an attack, but to serve as a warning. “No one should live in fear in their own home. And no one who clearly needs treatment should be abandoned and alone, without adequate support.. I’m speaking out today because a tragedy hasn’t happened yet and I hope it stays that way. But silence, in this case, is no longer an option.”
