On the 11th day of the conflict in the Middle East, talks about a possible ceasefire intensified. At the same time, Tehran, the capital of Iran, recorded the worst night of aerial bombings since the start of the war.
Tehran also continued attacks against Israel, launching missiles, according to the Israeli armed forces. In addition, Iran targeted other Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The conflict also exposed differences between allies. The United States has called on Israel to halt attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure. The request came after Israeli bombings hit fuel depots, leaving parts of Tehran without power and covered in a cloud of toxic smoke over the weekend. The Iranian government took the case to the UN, accusing Israel of environmental crime.
Dispute over the Strait of Hormuz
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the focal points of the war. This Tuesday, there was a dispute over narratives about the passage of an oil tanker in the region. It all started with a social media post from US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who said the US had escorted a ship through the passage.
The information and subsequently
denied by White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt. Wright ended up deleting the post. According to Leavitt, the US Navy has not escorted any tankers to date, although the possibility remains open.
“I know the post was quickly removed and I can confirm that the US Navy has not escorted any tankers or vessels to date, although of course this is an option the President has said he will utilize if and when necessary and at the appropriate time,” the spokeswoman said.
President Donald Trump also commented on the situation in the strait and demanded that Iran. Trump said that if this does not happen, Tehran will face military consequences “at a level never seen before.” The president also threatened to attack the country if the flow of oil in the region was interrupted.

Iranian authorities also spoke out
Iranian officials have denied American accusations that the country was planning an attack on the United States.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the accusation a “blatant and absolute” lie. According to him, the allegation would serve to justify the military operation conducted by Israel with American support.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard also reacted to US statements about the possible end of the war and stated that it will be up to Tehran to determine when the conflict will end. The group added that Iran will not allow “a liter of oil” to be exported from the region if attacks by the United States and Israel continue.
