A supposed unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted in the early hours of Tuesday, March 10, in the skies over the city of Porto, in an episode that caught the attention of several witnesses who say they observed unusual movements in the air. The phenomenon would have occurred around two in the morning and led to reports that quickly spread among those who witnessed the moment.
According to Correio da Manhã, the sighting was described by the Aerospace Phenomena Research Center (CIFA), which gathered statements from people who claim to have seen an object moving in the sky during the early hours of the morning.
Witnesses report unusual movements
The reports collected describe an unusual behavior of the observed object. According to the same source, several people said they were surprised by what they saw in the sky at that time of night. The body that analyzed the testimonies says that the phenomenon left “several witnesses stunned”. The publication adds that the object appeared to move irregularly while being observed.
Among the descriptions presented by witnesses appear details about the shape of the object. According to the same source, some reports refer to the presence of structures that resembled propellers. According to the descriptions cited by the newspaper, “the object appeared to have propellers that looked like membranous wings, like those of bees or flies.” People who observed the phenomenon also indicate that the movement of these structures was visible during displacement.
Quick changes of direction
Reports also refer to sudden changes in the trajectory of the observed object. According to the publication, witnesses mentioned movements considered unexpected.
Among the descriptions collected is that the object presented “erratic and spontaneous movements, with very rapid changes of direction”. Some people also claimed to have observed small lights or particles near the structure.
The phenomenon would have only been visible for a short period of time. As the newspaper explains, the early morning weather conditions made it difficult to continue the observation. The sky was cloudy at the time of the sighting. This factor ended up preventing the object from continuing to be observed any longer.
Air Force responds to the episode
Given the reports of the sighting, the Portuguese Air Force questioned the existence of records related to the episode that occurred in Porto.
According to the same source, the Air Force Command indicated that no abnormal phenomenon was identified in the surveillance systems. In response to the newspaper, the institution stated that “no irregular or unusual sightings were recorded”.
