The INSS CPMI approved this Thursday (12) the Fabiano Zettel’s call-upsbrother-in-law of Daniel Vorcaro, and of Martha Graeffex-girlfriend of the owner of Banco Master. The dates for the hearings will still be scheduled by the commission.
The INSS CPMI rapporteur, Alfredo Gaspar (União-AL), explained that Martha Graeff’s summons was necessary because the businesswoman maintained “a relationship with a person being investigated” and “experienced situations” that are of interest to the CPMI investigations.
It was also Luiz Antonio Bull’s call-up approvedwho was director of Master. He is being investigated for participating in the group’s financial fraud operation.
Fabiano Zettel is one of the revealed by the decision of the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça. He would have intermediated and operationalized payments to group participants, Central Bank employees and third parties involved in the scheme. According to the investigation, the “financial arm” participated in the preparation and forwarding of a “simulated hiring” proposal for Belline Santana through the company Varajo Consultoria Empresarial Sociedade Unipessoal LTDA.
The PF also pointed out that Zettel worked in the organization and monitoring of financial flows. Vorcaro’s brother-in-law would be a collaborator in defining mechanisms designed to facilitate the circulation of resources and the documentary formalization of transactions.
Invitation to Vorcaro’s ex-girlfriend
Senator Jorge Seif (PL-SC) had presented, on Monday (9), a Martha Graeff’s convocation to give testimony at the INSS CPMI.
According to the registered document, the call seeks clarify revealed information by messages seized during Operation Compliance Zero. The dialogues show that Vorcaro frequently reported to the businesswoman the behind the scenes of meetings, dinners and reserved meetings which he maintained with high public authorities.
Among the episodes mentioned in the request, there are messages about meetings at the Palácio do Planalto with the President Lula (PT) e ministers of statein addition to encounters with the president of Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), with the senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI) by com ministers of higher courts. The senator understands that the material indicates that Martha had direct knowledge about the agenda and political contacts of the person being investigated.
The document also highlights conversations between the couple about movement of goods of high economic value. The messages address the purchase of a house in Miami (USA), the existence of a luxury boat baptized with the name “Martha” and spending millions on a engagement party in Romein Italy.

Defense alleges private issues
In the request itself, the senator mentions that the defense of Martha Graeff had already expressed in the press stating that the businesswoman has no involvement in business by Daniel Vorcaro and that the messages only concern the couple’s private life.
Despite this, the parliamentarian justifies that the hearing is “proportional, adequate and necessary”. According to Jorge Seif, as a witness and under the “commitment to tell the truth”, Vorcaro’s girlfriend could help to define “what concerned the strictly personal sphere e that one
which eventually impacts the object of this investigation“.
