Kimmel Reviews
“All the Empty Rooms”by Joshua Seftel and Conall Jones, won Best Documentary Short Film, and “Mr. Nobody Against Putin”, by David Borenstein, Pavel Talankin, Helle Faber and Alžběta Karásková, won the Oscar for Best Documentary.
During the advertisement, Jimmy Kimmel praised reality cinema, without artifice or censorship, pointing to the President of the United States.
Kimmel mocked the fact that “the women’s film [do presidente]”, which shows “shoe choices in the White House”, was not nominatedin an allusion to “Melania”. “Will he be furious Why wasn’t his wife nominated for this?” Kimmel asked, without mentioning Trump.
The presenter also contrasted the nature of documentary cinema with “North Korea… and CBS.”
Last year, the American television station admitted paying compensation to Donald Trump, following a mission from the 60 Minutes program, and last month it did not broadcast an interview with Democratic candidate James Talarico, in the Texas Senate primaries, recorded for Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show”.
In September, ABC temporarily removed “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” off the air after the comedian said during his monologue that Republicans were trying to take political advantage of the death of conservative ‘influencer’ Charles Kirk.
