More than 1 million people have been displaced in Lebanon, according to the country’s authorities, many of them in the south and also in areas close to the capital, Beirut. More than 130 thousand are living in collective shelters.
Last week, the UN launched an appeal for US$308 million (equivalent to around R$1.6 billion) to help Lebanon deal with the consequences of the war.
More than 880 people have been killed in the country by Israeli attacks, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. This number does not distinguish between combatants and civilians.

The United States and Israel are at war with Iran. The conflict began on February 28, when a coordinated attack between the two countries in Tehran.
